Fees & Billing
This is a mixed billing practice. Our fees are structured to reflect the time you spend with your doctor, the complexity of your issues, as well as the number of procedures performed during your consultation.
The cost of good quality medical care is rising. The Government’s contribution is falling away. To cover the increasing cost you are required to contribute towards the cost of your medical care.
Children Under 16, Pension and DVA Card Holders are bulk billed. Health Care Card Holders and University/College students are offered concessional rates. All others are privately billed.
Effective 1 October 2024, all EFTPOS payments will incur a 1% surcharge.
New Patients
All new private patients are required to pay $100 as an initial consultation fee; $150 if a long appointment is needed. All walk ins are privately charged.
Full private fee will apply to all overseas visitors with no Medicare Card.

Commercial Driving Licence – Please call the surgery for more information. Our standard fee is $220 + GST.
If you require the doctor to fill out forms (eg. insurance, superannuation, passport, health funds, work, school etc.) you will require an appointment. These services are privately charged with no Medicare rebate

You will be required to pay for your consultation at the time of your visit. No accounts will be issued. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or EFTPOS
Upfront payment is required for all Workers Compensation Claims and reports including employment, medical, insurance and third party examination. Fee will depend on complexity, time taken and other cost to the practice.
Repeat Prescriptions– In the interest of good medical care, your doctor will need to see you for a repeat prescription. In exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the treating doctor, a collection of a script may be possible but will attract a fee of $30 /- and further $5 fee if need faxing/posting etc. Please note these costs are not Medicare claimable.
If you are referred to another doctor such as a specialist, you should enquire about fees from that doctor.
Certain procedures – Excisions/Lacerations/Suturing/Foreign body removal/Punch biopsy etc may attract a fee. Dependent on the procedure, Doctor will advise the cost.
Non-attendance Fee (DNA) – $60+GST for a standard appointment and $80+GST for long or care plan appointment– If you fail to turn up for a confirmed appointment OR fail to cancel 2 hours before the appointment.
Flu vaccinations are provided free of charge to eligible patients as part of the Government vaccination program. Those who are not covered by the government program can purchase the vaccinations at a cost from the Practice. Consultations for flu vaccinations ONLY are bulk billed.
All our fees are displayed in the waiting area. We endeavour to keep our fees affordable, and they are well below the recommended AMA fees. The fees we charge are set at a level that enables us to look after you properly.
Valid Blue Pension cards should be produced to qualify for bulk billing or concessionary billing.
If you have any concerns about paying your fee, please speak to reception staff.
The consumables used in the treatment room are not funded by the Government. To cover the increasing consumable cost, you are required to purchase your dressings from either a Pharmacy OR from us at the treatment room. Our dressings will cost from $5-$50 depending on the consumables required for your treatment. Please speak to our staff for more information.
Please note after hour consultations are charged slightly higher than the normal consultation. However cost to you is same given rebate is higher than normal. Please check with the reception staff.
