Dr Sukumar Rajaretnam
(MBBS , MMed, MAFP, FRACGP)
Dr Sukumar completed his MBBS in Madras University – India in 1988 then completed his Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) at the University of Science Malaysia in the year 2000.
In 2010 he completed his MAFP at the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia as well as completing his FRACGP in Malaysia, the same year.
Dr Sukumar was involved in research related to diabetes and asthma whilst in Malaysia. He was also a committee member in the development of Dementia guidelines for Management of Dementia in Malaysia.
He was involved in the teaching of junior doctors who were training to specialise in general practice and also worked for four years in Paediatrics.
Dr Sukumar enjoys seeing patients from all walks of life for general medical care. He has been with us here at Narangba since 2011 and is a valued member of the staff.
Dr Sukumar has a strong a passion for general practice work, with a broad range of interests, including children’s health, chronic conditions, men’s health & geriatric care.
Dr Sukumar is also a registered Examining Medical Officer (EMO) who has the capacity to perform health assessments required under the Queensland Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme(CMWHS) – formerly Coal Board administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Minerals (DNRM).
Dr Sukumar strongly believes, a good doctor-patient relationship is the first step towards better health and well being. He is a strong advocate of multidisciplinary approach to health care and is committed to high quality patient care.
During his private time he loves reading, travelling and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr Ajay Kumar
MBBS, MRCGP, FRACGP
Dr Ajay Kumar Terli is a highly experienced GP who graduated from India in 2001 and moved to the UK in 2003. He has worked in various specialities– Orthopaedics,ENT, Accident & Emergency, Stroke/ Rehab, Endocrinology, Paediatrics/Neonatology, Gynaecology before becoming a General practitioner in 2009 . He was working as a partner in a GP practice in the UK before moving to Australia in 2018.
Dr Terli has a special interest in Emergency Medicine, Minor surgery and Musculoskeletal problems.
Deborah Smart
Nutritionist
Deborah brings a holistic touch to our team, working with your GP to improve general health and well being in the presence of chronic conditions, through nutrition. Deborah loves to assist patients with stubborn weight retention, gut issues (IBS, IBD, and treatment related diarrhoea), food allergies and intolerances, hormonal issues, and autoimmune conditions. Dr Radha Kurapati
MBBS,FRACGP
He underwent General Practice (GP)training in Bristol, UK and gained his MRCGP (Member of Royal College of General practitioners, UK) and DRCOG. He worked as a GP for 9 years in U. K before moving to Australia in 2018.
Dr Radha likes practicing preventive medicine and patient cantered holistic care. His other interests include minor surgery and Men’s Health.
Dr Reihaneh Alihassani
General Practitioner
Dr Reihaneh graduated from medical school in 2006 and has completed her fellowship training in 2017 .She is passionate about all aspects of general practice with further intrest in women’s health , family planning and sexual and reproductive health.
